What this Privacy Policy covers

This is the Privacy Policy for the Wishable website and our associated apps (the “Site”).

We Write the Web Limited (referred to in this policy as “we”, “us” or “our”) is the “controller” under data protection laws. Where we’re processing your personal information in relation to our content and/or Site, we’re the controller of your personal information.

Our Site contains external links to other websites that aren’t subject to this Privacy Policy. Please do read our Terms for further information on external links, as well as the terms and conditions and privacy policy of any website you give your personal information to, as you’ll be bound by them. We’re not liable for anything that happens if you use them.

What personal information do you collect?

The information we collect will depend on how you’re using our Site.

If you are simply browsing the Site we do not collect any personal information.

If you register for an account on the Site we will ask for your name and email address. You will also be asked to set a username.

Enable you to create wishlists and use the Site
Enable others to find your wishlists (i.e. in URLs and in search functionality; subject to your privacy settings)
Obtain a profile image from the Gravatar service (this utilises your email address)
Contact you in relation to your account (i.e. account management and notifications)
Contact you with promotional materials (but only if you have opted-in)

Where do you store my personal information?

Keeping information about you secure is very important to us so we store and process your personal information in accordance with the high standards required under data protection laws.

We store all personal data is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA).

How long do you keep my personal information?

We will store your personal information while you have an account with the Site. If you close your account we will delete your personal information. To close your account, please email support@wishable.app using the email address registered to your account.

Even after closing your account, it may be necessary to retain some of your personal information for legal, tax or regulatory purposes. It may also persist on back-up or archival media.

We do not routinely share personal information with third-parties.

We reserve the right to share your personal information if:

required or permitted to do so by law;
